How to save animation made in Photoshop???

I made a very small animation of 3 frames. It's an icon. I made it in photoshop cs2 and I don't know how to save it into a gif. I try simply going to save as and selecting gif but it didn't work. It saved the image but it doesn't move. What should I do??How to save animation made in Photoshop???
Did you save it in ImageReady? That's the little side program that comes with Photoshop CS2 that allows you to create animations from Photoshop files. (In Cs3 it's no longer separate, it's part of Photoshop).

However, if you just try opening it in Photoshop, it won't run. You have to open it with a web browser like Internet Explorer, FireFox or Safari.

Photoshop question. How do i make my dark roots the same colour as the rest of my hair?

is this possible? and how?Photoshop question. How do i make my dark roots the same colour as the rest of my hair?
Use the cloning tool. What you do is put the cloning tool on part of your hair which is the colour you want, then brush it over your roots which has the effect of copying over an disguising the original colour. You will probably have to enlarge pic by zooming in. Another way of course is to use the lassoo tool.Photoshop question. How do i make my dark roots the same colour as the rest of my hair?
dye your hair and take another pic ! Only kidding, need the 2 points :)
Cloning tool, should look like a stamp, Click on whatever you want to clone, and copy that part, then click where you want it cloned!

There are advantages in both. I have both but seldom use PSP. Elements I find is better overall and there are many plugins, many free some for a fee, that expand on the capability of Elements making a powerful little program even more powerful.

What happens if you have photoshop and your 13?

hi! I'm 13 and have a photoshop and i just want to know do i have to pay? and how i get off it if i do?What happens if you have photoshop and your 13?
    photoshop is a program

is not like an internet service

you have to buy it but once you own it you dont have to pay for it anymore

so no..you dont have to pay for it if its already on your computerWhat happens if you have photoshop and your 13?
If you are Adobe Photoshop on a public computer I don't see any problem. but if it is a pirated download, there is a problem. the adobe products are very expensive (except for the free acrobat reader), usually about $400 for dreamweaver, $700-$1000 for photoshop, to $1600-$2400 for a Suite.

If you only want to get used to adobe photoshop, there is Adobe Photoshop Elements for $80.

In general, Adobe products are not free, and they are not legally available for download for free anywhere. If that is how you got it, you should uninstall it and quit using it. besides, that is a good way to get your machine infected with a virus or a trojan.

they do have trial versions that you can download from the Adobe site that work for something like 60 days, intended for someone to try it out for the purpose of buying the product. but you can't do it repeatedly.

If your parents have $70, have them get you Paint Shop Pro X2 - it can do vector graphics.

If you can't buy anything, get GIMP and if you can get it, buy a GIMP book for $40, or use the online help - it is a very good graphic editor. it is just a little harder to use (and laid out slightly differently) than the others.

all of these come with some sort of scripting, and all the basic editing features. they usually come with some amount of vector graphics, though the amount varies with each program. Paint Shop Pro has the most vector graphics all integrated.

your parents will have to buy for you, so you may have to start small. OR you can download GIMP for free.
Someone who uses your computer may have downloaded the free trial of Photoshop. Then again, your computer may be configured to come with Photoshop when you bought it. The point is, don't worry that it's on there. You won't have to pay any money for it if you're not interested in it.
OMG NO!!!!!!!!!! You have photoshop already before you payed for it!?!?!?!? If you got it before you payed for it thats illegal! you probably need to go hide somewhere because im sure the cops have already traced your location and you might go to jailzZz!!! hurry!!!!
the short answer is spontaneous combustion. it's a common problem, happening to dozens of people every year, it's just not widely reported. just ask spinal tap.

In photoshop or the other photo editing places how can U make part of it B&W and the other part in color?

I don't have photoshop but arcsoft photo studio 5.5, I assume they will baiscally be the same but photo shop is more common...I don't understand exactly how to do the layers and I want to make part of the photo in color and the other part in black and white. Any information or help would be deeply appreciatedIn photoshop or the other photo editing places how can U make part of it B%26amp;W and the other part in color?
on lots of programs you can select a portion of the photo and then move the color scale to the grey scale (b%26amp;w).In photoshop or the other photo editing places how can U make part of it B%26amp;W and the other part in color?
Well, I use Photoshop, but this is what I do. . . .

I make a copy of the picture and turn that particular layer b%26amp;w, then I erase the part that I want in color and the color from the layer under the b%26amp;w will show through. To erase it accurately, you will need to zoom in. Hope this helps!!! Good luck!
You can 'select by colour' (Select %26gt; Colour Range...) and then invert the selection (Select %26gt; Inverse), then go to

Image %26gt; Adjustments %26gt; Desaturate which will turn any parts not selected to b%26amp;w :)

I can only draw perfect circles in Photoshop CS3?

For some reason when I'm working in photoshop CS3 and using the ellipse tool it ONLY draws perfect circles, whether I'm holding the shift key or not. Anyone know why it's doing this, and how I can fix it?I can only draw perfect circles in Photoshop CS3?
Go on the top toolbar next to style, and see if you have it on fixed. If so, turn it off. Hope that helps!I can only draw perfect circles in Photoshop CS3?
    Try using a different keyboard.

The default for the ellipse tool is not a perfect circle. You should only be able to draw a perfect circle with the Shift key held down.

One other thought. Is the ellipse tool set on NORMAL. (See top toolbar next to STYLE). You did not accidentally set it at a fixed size?

Should I save photographs as tiffs or photoshop documents?

I want a way to archive my photos, so that later if I want to create other sizes (ex 5x7 from an 8x10), I can without having a compressed image. Does tiff files compress and lose data? A Photoshop Document is so big. I know I don't want JPG because they are compressed. What's the best format? And don't go into all that lossy and loseless jargon. Just give me a straight answer. I will not give the points to someone just because you can explain lossy and lossless. Short and sweet please.Should I save photographs as tiffs or photoshop documents?
I would save them as Photoshop documents because that is a standard tool and there are many programs available to convert them to other formats if necessary. The quality should be as good as TIFF and you won't have to go through a conversion process to access changes you already made in Photoshop.Should I save photographs as tiffs or photoshop documents?
Tiffs or eps files are best for reprint. I prefer eps when they are brought to me for reprints but... they are about the same.

Tif files and eps files enlarge mathmatically, they in essence create more pixels to keep image clarity. Jpegs merely stretch existing pixels.

If you save a jpeg at a large size during your scan or while taking a photo they should still come out very clear unless you try to enlarge them alot.

If you do oversize printing I would always reccomend tif or eps.

Worked at a print shop for over ten years now so... take that for what you will.
Not say it is best, but I use TIFF and so far so good.
You should save them as a jpeg and burn them to a CD, isn't that the format already, almost everything is compatible with a jpeg rather than tiff and if you save them as photo shop document you'll only be able to open them with photo shop.
Neither TIFF nor Photoshop format loose data, both can apply some compression but it's not going to save a lot of space.

Photoshop format is better as it retains all of the extra information such as layers, effectes, text, etc, so you can go back and do further editing later.

You can esily resize and convert to other formats as you need them.

the first two answers are good answers - you-tube is best if you just started. Also, download a book from frostwire (click 'documents' and enter 'cs3' into the search box.). Please don't download anything that ISN'T a PDF file and look at it's size. It should be 10 to 30 thousand kb. Or use your torrent search if you use one. Enter 'CS3' and 'book' I say this because you are always going to need a guide for experimenting. Doing stuff that they never showed you. But you-tube is great. Search around for different sources as some are just too time consuming.

Also, forgot to say, anything to do with technical terms 'jpeg' etc - use wikipediaHow can I learn how to use photoshop CS3 for PC?
A course is the best starting point - look for one in your area. You can also use the tutorials from Adobe, and many on-line resources.
if you go to youtube.com and type in photoshop tutorials it teaches you just about everything and its better than reading the instructions.

Is it possible to attach two images to each other with Adobe Photoshop?

Is it possible to put two images into one single image with only a thin black line seperating the two images, with Adobe Photoshop? Is it possible to attach two images to each other with Adobe Photoshop?
Yes, You can just open a new document and the pictures in Photoshop, then copy the pictures to the new document. You can adjust the pictures' position in the new window. Then just add a black line between the pictures. That's it! =3

PS: The new document's size have to be as you wish, whether you want to put the pictures horizontally or vertically on the new document. You hae to do some math, of course! Is it possible to attach two images to each other with Adobe Photoshop?
If you're trying to do a panoramic view, you can go to photomerge and it will put the pictures together. If you just want two pictures on the same page, open a blank canvas and then open the picture you want, copy it and paste it on to the blank one. You can do as many pictures as you want on to this page.

Every question here is about photoshop?

So sorry to upset people heres a ';photography'; question.

What does ratio mean in relation to portraiture?Every question here is about photoshop?
    Hey!

You are right. If the photographers got it right in the camera, they would not need Photoshop.

SAVING images using a darkroom is a very poor business model. You will go broke ... the cost of the cameras and lenses will be eclipsed by the cost of darkroom work necessary to correct all the mistakes.

    Lighting ratio?

1:2 is usually used in glamour photography, 1:3 standard (if there is such a thing) and 1:4 and up for dramatic images.Every question here is about photoshop?
If you get the subject too close to the camera the ratio of their nose to the rest of their face will be all out of whack. You could fix that in Photoshop, though.
to me, every question here about pregnancy.
I like Dr Sam's answer!! The other ratio is the lighting ratio to give effective contrast between the lightest and darkest parts of the portrait. If the ratio is too small or doesn't exist, there is no contrast to highlight the structure of the face, and the portrait will be characterless.

A ratio of 3:1 or 4:1 will still allow the film/sensor to capture the details in the darker areas without overexposing the lighter areas of the image.

What's the difference of Photoshop and Indesign?

What is the difference of this two program? because in photoshop we can make brochure business cards, poster and books, so what's the purpose of Indesign? What's the difference of Photoshop and Indesign?
InDesign is for editorial, layout, magazine, books, multiple page document etc. Basically layout.

Photoshop is for image editing. What's the difference of Photoshop and Indesign?
InDesign is a Layout program. Photoshop is bitmap raster. With InDesign you could have sharp type and import a Vector image from Adobe Illustrator. InDesign will keep the files sizes smaller and offer greater precision of placement, plus offer the ability to do updates to your layout.

A very comparable product to InDesign, and superior in my estimation, is Quark Xpress.

Hi. I don't really know how to ask this. You see I've been on a diet for a while now and I think I need some motivation. So I was hoping that someone who is good at photoshop could use a picture of myself and make me look thin. I saw a website that would do this, but it costs money. So if anyone wants to do it for free just contact me and I will send you some pictures through email. I would really appreciate it. I really think that this would motivate me to lose the weight.Who is really good at photoshop?
To do this well isn't easy, and it very much depends on the photo. It helps to have a very plain background, and it helps to have the arms out the way, i.e. not hanging down right next to your body.

Bigger resolutions are always more successful to work on, it needs to have decent focus and light.

It will be a very long time until Digital has the resolution and the detail of film, so no, view cameras will have that until a digital 4x5 medium format camera become available to consumers (Don't point to the Hasselblad, be honest, how many people do you see with those around their necks?Has the Perspective Control in Photoshop made View Cameras irrelevant for photographing buildings?
It is much easier to just do it with the camera and then make straight prints. Most of those who pay for architectural shots want large prints, so using a 4x5 is still the best film format.

How do I avoid blurry spots when I save a pic in Photoshop?

When I save a picture in jpeg for my blackberry, there's spots on it that are like, blurry... it's not clear and it show on the screen of my phone. How do I avoid it?How do I avoid blurry spots when I save a pic in Photoshop?
Try to always find or create high resolution images. So when you compress your original image to low level formats like jpeg you loose less quality. Also try to re-size the image within photoshop.

I think for blackberry's jpeg, gif, bmp, tiff and png are supported. Png and tiff are the best lossless image formats. It's a solution which you probably have to practice.

When making a website do you write the text in Dreamweaver or Photoshop?

I am learning the basics. When making a website do you write the text in Dreamweaver or Photoshop?
It depends on the type of text where talking about. For ';artistic'; text like logos and banners, use a graphics program, either PhotoShop or Fireworks or The Gimp.

For the bulk of the text entry, given the choices you posted, Dreamweaver.

However, for my own purposes? Neither.

I almost always install a content management system with version control, like Drupal, Joomla, Mambo, or WordPress, use Dreamweaver and Fireworks to customize or create templates (themes) and then write the bulk of the text either directly in the web browser, or cut-and-paste larger work from a word processor. When making a website do you write the text in Dreamweaver or Photoshop?
If the choice is between those two packages, then Dreamweaver (Photoshop is used for creating images, not webpages).

But I'd hold off on Dreamweaver if you are learning the basics. It can help speed up your work once you know what you are doing, but until you have a good grasp of HTML you aren't going to know about to compensate for its limitations.
dreamweaver is for the site itself
You can make a graphic in photoshop to place on your website, as long as you size it correctly, but you normally make the website itself in something else, depending on how you make it.

Yes, You can just open a new document and the pictures in Photoshop, then copy the pictures to the new document. You can adjust the pictures' position in the new window. Then just add a black line between the pictures. That's it! =3

When you r saving the pdf file use jpeg compression for less size.

    Follow this,

Select ';save as'; frm menu and while saving set format type to ';photoshop PDF';. Click save.

Now it will ask you the PDF options. Select JPEG Encoding and set quality level as you want. And click Ok.

The small PDFs you are talking about normally only contain text and line graphics (both of which use up little space). If a PDF contains image graphics, such as bmp or jpg, presumably what you are trying to save, it will use up a lot more space.

What I think you're dealing with is when you originally open your photo, the layer is locked and cannot be moved around and other edits are restricted. It's a simple fix without creating an new layer.

In the layer pallette, double-click the layer 鈥?not the thumbnail image, but the gray area next to the layer name. This brings up a window with the layer properties. Notice there is a checkmark for 'Locked' and by default it is unchecked. So click OK (or hit enter) and your layer is now unlocked. How do you drag a photo to make a layout on photoshop cs3? ?

What is the best way to cut out curly hair using photoshop 7.0?

curly hair is hard to trim when using an eraser,, what is the best way to trim the curly hair so you can still leave the beauty of it, my nephew has curly hair and it is so beautiful, but i have a hard time editing his pictures because of it,,What is the best way to cut out curly hair using photoshop 7.0?
Try using the magnetic lasso tool with a high amount of feathering. You can select the negative space, cut it out, and then use the Smudge tool to touch up the edges and re-form strands that got messed up.

When working with such things, it's helpful to zoom in as much as you possibly can. If you can zoom in enough, you might even be able to get in there with a regular soft-edged brush, or fill in one pixel at a time.

You can also consider altering the background to resemble the background visible through the translucent bits of his hair. Try altering the tone of the new background by going over it with transparent brushes and effects like ';color dodge'; and ';saturation.'; You can make the area near his head blend into the rest of the background like there's a variation in lighting. This also gives you a chance to get creative with your backgrounds. In the process, you can meet halfway by using a small, transparent brush with the background color to fix up areas of the hair that just don't match up right, for example if his head is completely backed by blue sky. Remember also that with hair, we are less likely to see blue sky peeking through than we are to just see a general illuminating effect from the sun that overrides any background color.

If you're trying to just erase, you have less options for the hardness of the brush... but again, with enough patience, you can erase one pixel at a time on high zoom.

Is it possible to make gif images and/or animations using photoshop elements 5? and how'd you do it?

i have photoshop elements 5 on my computer at home, and need to be able to create a moving image or animation... does anyone know, is this a possible task? and what procedure do i have to follow to create a successful result? Is it possible to make gif images and/or animations using photoshop elements 5? and how'd you do it?
(I just spent 20 minutes writing out instructions, clicked Preview and my answer disappeared!)

OK let's try this again....Yes, you can make animations with Elements.

If you're making blinkies (animations that just change color or blink on and off), make one layer, make as many copies of it as you need then, one by one, starting at the bottom of the Layers Palette, click on each layer and make the changes to it in the workspace.

If you're making an animation that moves, you have to make small changes to it on separate layers. How small? After you have some experience making animations, you'll have a better feeling for this. Until then, you're going to have to play it by ear and make changes after you preview your animation.

Size: Since animations only play in emails and browsers they don't have to be very big. My small blinkies are only 200 pixels wide but I made one that moves across about half the screen that's 925 pixels long. If you're animation is too big, a popup in the animations dialog will tell you and you can change the size in the dialog.

    Important things:

    1. The first layer in an Elements creation is the locked Background layer. Animations won't run with this layer in place. Right click on it and click on Layer From Background. Rename this layer Layer 1 by doubling clicking on the name on the layer.

    2. Since some of my animations have up to 70 layers and the thumbnail pictures on the layers are too small to see anything, I give my layers descriptive names like Layer 37 Flag 15. The more layers you have the more confusing it can be as you move some of them around. For your first animation, try to keep it down to less than 20 layers.

Save often and save as a psd file to preserve your layers. After every three or four new layers, save. If you make major changes, use Save As and give the file name a version number: My Animation, My Animation 2, My Animation 3, etc. When you've finished with your animation, you can delete these early versions....BUT always save your final psd file ';just in case';.

OK, you've got some layers and you've saved them as a psd file and it's time to animate them. Go to File%26gt;Save For Web. Here's a screenshot of the Save For Web dialog that I did for someone else:

    http://www.flickr.com/photos/22020217@N0鈥?/a>

    1. First, check the Animate box. If you file is too big, you'll get a popup telling you. Use the New Size section to change the size and try checking the Animate box again.

2 %26amp; 3. Make sure everything up in the top section looks like mine. Usually checking the Animate box automatically changes the values in the other boxes.

    4. Unles you want your animation to run once and stop, check the Loop box. Timing is trial and error. Start with 0.2 and, if that's too fast, try 0.5.

    5. The Preview button - exciting! Use the dropdown to select what to use to preview. I usually just stay with Internet Explorer (the default). Click the Preview and watch your animation run. After you see what it looks like you can decide what changes you want to make. If it's too fast, change the timing. If it's ';rough'; or jumpy, you'll have to cancel and go back to the editor and make changes to your layers...maybe add a few more with smaller changes.

The first couple of animations, when you're not sure what you're doing, are the most difficult but after you get some experience with them, they're a lot easier to do.

    Have Fun!

I want to print photos that have been cropped using Adobe Photoshop?

Basically i want to make sure they fit properly on the photo paper size. I cropped some images and got them printed, but the lab ended up cropping some bits out of the image, as they said that i didn't select some tool on Photoshop that would have the image on a standart printing size.

Please help!! Where is this tool on Adobe Photoshop and how do i use it?

    Many thanks,

poppiI want to print photos that have been cropped using Adobe Photoshop?
It's a sad fact that the aspect ratio (Height to Width ratio) of Film and Digital Sensors compared to paper sizes rarely match, so if you want to fill the printer paper then some cropping is inevitable.

There are numerous ways in Photoshop to set a paper size one is to set it using the crop tool. Another using the Image size dialogue box.

First find out the paper sizes of your printer, whether you print your own (easier) or from a print house.

Then go to File%26gt;Open%26gt;New and in the dialogue box select inches as your units, 8 bit (most printers only print in 8 bit, though some new ones are changing that) and the re-sample box is checked.

Enter your paper size and (and this is where it gets clever) in the resolution box select a resolution that gives you a file size that equals 1Mb per Inch on the longest dimension. Which for an A4 (11.693 X 8.268 inches) a value of 206 pixels per inch would give a file size of 11.7. In the advanced section just make sure the color profile is set to sRGB which should be the default.

Now we have sorted out the resolution, paper size and colour space.

Now to put an image into it. In Bridge Highlight your picture then go to File%26gt;Place%26gt;In Photoshop. Photoshop will place the picture in the centre of your canvas with a bounding box around it and you can see the two sizes don't match. With the Shift Key held down (to maintain the aspect ratio of the image) click and drag on the corner anchor points (little boxes) to fill the canvas with your image in the way you want. To fill the paper some cropping will be inevitable as discussed. You can crop the image at this stage as you can see exactly what will be on the canvas. Clicking in the centre of the bounding box will allow to drag the image to centre it where you want. When your happy just hit Enter to commit the crop.

The advantages of this method haven't finished yet, Photoshop will have opened the Image as a 'Smart Object' which means that at this stage the Image file and Photoshop are still linked, if you need to make adjustments (Levels, Curves etc..) do it now then Photoshop will refer to the original file for any info it requires, so you are working with the maximum data.

By selecting the Move Tool ('V' on your keyboard) you can move the image around on your canvas.

If you need to resize the Image again pressing Ctrl + T will bring back the bounding box.

Double clicking the Zoom Tool (Magnifying Glass) will show you a 100% view so you can see how it will print. Press the Spacebar and Left Click and drag to view around the Image.

When your happy with how it looks go to Layer%26gt;Flatten Image and save either as a Tiff (Lossless) or a Jpg if that's all your Print House will accept. - Job done and you have been in control all the way.

This formula of 1 Mb to 1'; will enable you to print really large prints if you have enough Mp from your camera for example a 6Mp Image will print 4ft X 3ft with good quality.

As a final note your Print House may put a border around each pic if so it's the IMAGE Size will need to be your canvas size.

ChrisI want to print photos that have been cropped using Adobe Photoshop?
on the tool bar at top, click on image, the dialogue box will drop down and you can click on image size (not canvas size) and another dialogue box will pop up and give you the option to save in any size you want.
Very good procedure by screwdriver, but likely what the lab was talking about was the crop to size tool.

When you select the crop tool, look up at the top of the screen and you will see boxes for width and length. You can enter the exact size of the photo you want to print, and the crop will be bound to those width and height dimensions.

    steve
just resize based on image, either way a good rule is a 1/4 inch bleed and never go lower than 300dpi.
Open the Photoshop Tools palette Window %26gt; Tools. If you hold the mouse above each tool a text box will reveal its name. The Cropping tool looks like a set of dividers.

On the Cropping Tool Option bar, which now appears immediately under the top menu, fill in the numerical values required for the crop. Be careful to set the values correctly, according to whether you want an upright or landscape image. This requires a method of measurement e.g. pixels per inch (PPI) or pixels per centimetre (PPCM) as well as output dimensions.

Inputting the resolution and size of an image into the top menu control options determines the ‘file size’ (usually denoted in megabytes). The cropped image will gain information (interpolate) or drop resolution as needed.

Check the resolution of your printer in order to insert the correct figure.

Position the tool on the image and drag it to mark out the area to be cropped, if necessary adjust it by pulling the ‘tabs’ on the cropping box, and by rotating or dragging the crop into the position... which will create a ’line of marching ants’ on your image:

Image %26gt; Crop, press Enter (Win) or Return (Mac), double click inside the cropping marquee, or click the commit button in the options bar to perform the crop.

To cancel press Esc or the cancel button in the options bar.

As mentioned under Interpolation, Image %26gt; Image Size via the top Photoshop menu enables you to adjust the resolution of an image without distorting its proportions, but you need to check the Constrain Proportions box is ticked.

The cropping tool settings will also change the format of your image unless the original is exactly the same proportion as the crop you require - on 35mm film you lose a substantial amount from the long side if you crop it to 8x6 format (which is broader).

    *** Golden Rule! ***

Work on a copy, not the original file.

    Key output stages

Convert the generic image for a particular output (via an output profile) - see Image Management section.

    Scale the image for output.

Match the generic image colour by adjusting the RGB file while viewing the image using the output gamut (View %26gt; Proof Colours).

Apply an appropriate level of sharpening.

The following issues are raised by this process...

Size of the image required? e.g. “8x6”

Resolution of the output device? e.g. 300 dpi

    Size of paper being used?

Print conversion? – RGB printers assume image conversion will occur within the printing software, i.e. the source files are in RGB (usually sRGB) Other printers require CMYK conversion first. (Most desktop printers are RGB printers - check your model).

The primary issue is to specify exactly the right amount of data.

If we have the image size plus dpi, or a specific number of pixels plus the printer resolution, we have all the information required for in-house printing or for a laboratory.

A lab will probably ask for images sized according to data like this; 8”x6” at 300 dpi, or 4096 x 3072 pixels.

Ideally we can also attach a printer/media profile, if not we need to consider the following factors...

What printer are we sending out to? e.g. Offset litho, inkjet or CLC (Colour Laser Copier), Dye Sublimation or Digital Press etc.

What kind of media is being used? – glossy, matt?

Commercial print implies detailed communication re: dot gain (the media absorbency), dot angle (required for the kind of printer screen being used), GCR (grey component replacement) i.e. removing black ink and replacing it with equal proportions of the other ink colours and UCR (under colour removal) the substitution of equal quantities of coloured inks with black ink. We suggest this is left to the professionals.

ICC Profiles for in-house printers should NEVER be embedded (converted to profile) for images sent to third parties such as repro houses, as they can cause major quality problems. If in doubt send files in Lab or RGB gamut with a Generic working space profile such as Adobe RGB (1998).

The ideal option is to supply your images with the end-user’s printer profile - one for both the printer and media that will be used to perform the final print job... we suggest professional photographers and designers cover their bases by also suupplying an RGB original in an appropriate gamut - so if your end-user objects to your colour separation, they can always have an option to do the separation themselves!

    Save the original!

Before you start, copy the image and save it. If something goes wrong you can always start again. If you accidentally crop massive amounts of data from an image, or damage the colour and then save over the original file, you may have to re-scan it, or re-shoot a digital original.

How can I make someone's muscles look more defined using photoshop?

Any help is appreciated. How can I make someone's muscles look more defined using photoshop?
I'd say youd have to make more shadows in the places where muscle tone would show. The curves so to speak.

However if you are using a pic of someone that doesnt really have any muscles so to speak, it would take quite a bit of photoChoping....or pasting someone elses body on there.

The line thickness (or stroke weight) can be controlled by the ';Stroke'; pallet.

select the pen tool then press press '; [ '; or '; ] ';on your keyboard
I don't think the pen tool is meant to actually be a ';pen.'; You may be able to convert the line to a selection but I would suggest using the pencil or brush tool and selecting a different brush from the brush pallet. See the link below for good tutorials in photoshop.
there is a drop down box/slider near the upper left corner of the program... will probably have a small number in it (1 to 5 or so) click that and select a new thickness

%26gt; Save it as a png.I am trying to cut the head off a pic in photoshop and export it just as the head with a transparent?
I will answer this because it can be confusing.

First to be transparent it has to be a .gif or .png. Like jpg won't be transparent.

Now when you use a png you will experience a white background if it viewed on ie 6 or lower.

How do I get rounded edges on my picture in photoshop?

Please hellppp!!How do I get rounded edges on my picture in photoshop?
If you are talking about a vignette effect there are plugins you can use OR more easily and better IMHO ...

1.) In Photoshop, Open an image of your choice.

2.) Click on the Retangular Marquee tool (may be visible already) and draw a Selection at the points you would like the fade to take effect. Experiment with placement and larger radii in the next step for greater/lesser effect.

3.) Go to Select %26gt; Feather (Alt + Ctrl + D) Dialog box will appear. Enter a value. You can always hit ctrl-z to go back. But you will see a visual line to guide you anyway.

4.) Next, Go to Select %26gt; Inverse (Ctrl + Shift + I) and Hit Delete to remove border area. Now De-Select(Ctrl + D)

5.) Create a layer, Layer %26gt; New and fill it with a color of your choice. (Be sure to move it under the new image layer).

Select the part of the image you want to use

    invert the selection (Shift+Ctrl+I)

    Press ';Delete'; on your keyboard

    invert again

If you are using photoshop 6 or above - just switch to imageready. There is a 'rounded rectangle selection' tool, which lets you adjust the rounding of the corners. use this to select the bits of the image you want to keep, use %26gt;select %26gt; inverse and hit delete.

How do you select more than one item in adobe photoshop cs2?

Are you using the selection tool? Or a lasso?

Try this; If your working with one image and your trying to grab to different images within the one open a new document File%26gt;New

Go back to your first document and grab your first selection with a lasso or just the marquee seletion tool, to make a perfect crop out I would use the Quick mask tool by pressing ';q'; on your keyboard it will create a red mask around your image. Then selected your Eraser tool, and use black as your foreground color to add and black to subtract.

Push ';q'; again to exit your mask and see how it looks.

When your done Edit%26gt;copy then go to your new document Edit%26gt;paste

Make a new layer then go back to grab your other image doing the same thing.

If your looking to work with the original background as well try adding it another layer, and you can use the eyes to turn of each image layer in your layers palette!

If your already working out of layers your answer is simply click one object, then press Shift on your keyboard click on the second object! That will grab two items at once!

    I hope this help!

Making a background can be done in many programs. If you don't need to be a high-end designer, get Photoshop Elements6, which came out recently and will work just fine for you. It's also a lot less expensive than full Photoshop, which of course is a very complex and deep program. But Elements is good, especially for the average user.

yeah, um, mac doesn't make tablet notebooks. There is a company that takes macbooks and converts them into tablet books and calls them a modbook. http://www.axiotron.com/index.php?id=modbook

There are tablet PCs but those are mostly meant for note taking and not digital drawing and graphics related things. For that, you definitely want a mac. But you don't need a tablet PC, best choice I would say would be a mac with a graphics tablet, Wacom makes really good ones. It gives you all the flexibility of drawing on screen but is waaayy cheaper. If you're interested in drawing digitally you should really check out these classes, they helped me a ton when I first started out. http://training.xtrain.com/serial/show/29-ron-lemen-digital-drawing-in-photoshop

There is no *best* tutorial. They all have pros and cons, and there's far too much information to put into one tutorial (or even 100 tutorials). The thing about Photoshop is that it's used both by photographers and designers, so you need to identify which one you want.

I'm guessing you're interested in the design aspects. http://www.pixel2life.com/ has user-made tutorials. Most tutorials at a higher level will cost money to access. If you have money, Lynda.com will walk you through every level of Photoshop (beginning, intermediate, and advanced) using easy to understand video tutorials.

    11 x 14What size is a typical graphic for a t-shirt using photoshop 7?
There is no ';typical'; size. It can be a large a print as fits on one side of a shirt, laid flat.

So for your file, take a shirt, in the smallest size you anticipate being used, and lay it flat, smoothing out the wrinkles. That is the largest ';typical'; size you should make your graphic.

Even when airbrushing custom tee shirts, I could use an ordinary manilla file folder for a stencil on a shirt, and THAT unfolds to about 12 inches wide to eighteen inches tall. This fits most adult tee shirt sizes, except, perhaps the smallest.

Your Photoshop file could be that size for screen printing. The only limitation, other than that, would be the largest size screen your print shop has available. A real commercial operation should have screens much larger than that.

The biggest one that has TCO'03 (or higher) certification.

TCO'03 included requirements for colour and grayscale reproduction. Something that would probably be important if you are editing photos seriously.

Bigger is better, up to the resolution of your digital camera. (Which is way above the resolution of the monitors, so bigger is better)

Then all you need to do is download the software that allows you to use Torrents and you're done!
you dont get the full version for free but at first you download the trial version from http://adobe.com/

and get product key from http://keygen.in/

    it's free.
Photoshop is not free; however, there are free options. A quick search for something called GIMP will yield a free option; just search for ';free image editing software'; or something similar.
    Photoshop isnt free.

Does anyone know how to change faces on a picture with photoshop?

My best friends house just burned down and she has no pictures left of her pregnancy or wedding. Im trying to have some created for her. Im willing to p.a.y someone if they now how to make this happen. Please em.ail me. I only need 1 picture of pregnant and one wedding photo.Does anyone know how to change faces on a picture with photoshop?
You want to create a alternate memory from a stock photo of a pregnancy and wedding and paste this couples face on those pictures?

It can be done, but I don't see the point... it's actually easy to do.

If you have a photo of the person and the other two photos it's a matter of cutting the image within Photoshop and then using layers to erase and manipulate colors.

I could do this, but again, I don't really see the point.Does anyone know how to change faces on a picture with photoshop?
I could do it for free. But I do not use Photo Shop, I use GIMP. If you are interested e-mailed me at unhunkyguy@hotmail.com. I am willing to do it for free because I enjoy doing that stuff

My friends made picture tattoos of themselves on celebrities. They look really cool, so i want to make a tattoo of myself through photoshop. where can i do that online for free? with no downloads necessary?Where can you use PhotoShop online for free?
here's a couple that might work.

1st one is from adobe, and the 2nd one is a photoshop-like editor.

Why don't you bite the bullet and install TheGimp? It can do 99% the stuff Photoshop can and it is 100% free. Only the user interface is horrible but still you get what you pay for :).

There is (and there probably never be) no free version of Photoshop available to general public. I also am not aware of any good graphics program available without download (picasa comes to mind but it will not do what you need).
If your a College student then your school might have a subscription to it through the web. my school did that and gave us user names and passwords so we can use it anywhere. Just ask someone at your school because i didnt know we had it until a friend was using it.
Paint.Net is a good free program, and so is InkScape.

Can i TRY photoshop WITHOUT downloading it?

I really want to buy photoshop, but I want to see if its exactly what I want.I have never tried it,but I have heard alot of good things about it.My computer cant download things right now.(and doesnt need another virus) so thats why i dont want to/cant download photoshop.please helpppppp! Can i TRY photoshop WITHOUT downloading it?
Not to my knowledge. If you download the program from Adobe's website, you shouldn't have to worry about spyware/viruses.

If you want (free) alternatives to Photoshop, I'll gladly recommend GIMP and Paint.net

Hope this helps!!Can i TRY photoshop WITHOUT downloading it?
not really without buying it.... but i would suggest getting a blank DVD and going down to your library or friend and download a free trial from Adobe directly at this link

then just burn a copy on a DVD and install it on your computer....

I have adobe photoshop 5.0. Is there a way to convert multiple photos from Adobe rgb to Srbg?

Or do I have to do one photo at a time?I have adobe photoshop 5.0. Is there a way to convert multiple photos from Adobe rgb to Srbg?
ah ha. good question. Well I'm lucky enough to be using the new version so I don't know much about 5.0 but most things have remained similar.

Create a new action (this is covered in the help menu) ... with the convert profile command and your save and close command etc. Actions are amazing if you didn't already know.

Then go to file %26gt; Automate %26gt; Batch

There will be some pull down menus with your actions folders and stuff, from there it is pretty straight forward...

I'll be near a computer with 5.0 tomorrow so if these didn't work you can write me an email: ebaetscher@gmail.com
