Using Photoshop, How can I get rid of the white around the coconut jar picture on our website?

Our web address is as follows:

http://www.thecoconutshop.co.uk/Products...

I would like the bottle to be seen only, not the white. I cannot see the same background colour in photoshop

Any advice for this newbie would be greatUsing Photoshop, How can I get rid of the white around the coconut jar picture on our website?
Use the magic wand tool to select the white, then go to select-inverse selection (will pick everything but the white). Then cut it, and paste it onto a transparent background.

Just guessing, as I can't see your website.

EDIT: here you go -

(remove the space from snipurl - yahoo doesn't seem to like it)

(right click to save it)

EDIT II: for the record, as you asked *how*...

1) magin wand wasn't much good, as it's white on white - it either left too much around hte edges, or took too much away, depending on tolerance

2) I filled the background red, using various tolerances in various places, depending on how close the background was to the foreground

3) touched it up with a red/white pencil tool a bit

4) magic wanded the red, select - inverse, copy, paste to a new image with a transparent background, save as a gifUsing Photoshop, How can I get rid of the white around the coconut jar picture on our website?
You can pick a colour from the picture with the eye dropper.

But can't you just magic wand it?

Try setting the white background as ';transparent'; and save it as a GIF
