What is the difference between the Lasso tool and hte Magnetic Lasso tool in Photoshop?

The lasso tool is freehanded, while the magnetic lasso tool sort of latches on to what your drawing it around, magnetic is easier but not completely perfect so you will have to go back and fix some parts of it.
